Recycled Phone Book Pencil Holder

Now there some creativity. The funny this is I have actually folded a book to look like that. When I was bored, but I never would have thought to make a pencil holder out of it.

A Craft For Mothers Day | Mothers Day Special

This particular craft takes about two-four days maybe quicker depends on how heavy the object you use to flatten your flowers. Once that's done it's a cake walk actually you don't have to wait for the flowers you could start on other steps while they are getting properly pressed.

Bias-tape Baby Bib Tutorial and Template

You can download this bib template or just freehand one

Another project that I tried while visiting Chloe’s Grandma Sandy was how to make a bias tape bib. Back when I was pregnant I had read that bibs with ties were a choking hazard, so when we were yard-saling we mostly picked up velcro versions. Turns out the ties are SO much better because you can get a custom fit around the neck, and baby can’t pull it off like she can with the velcro. Two of my favorite bibs were ones I won from Quilt Baby (now called The Modern Baby Co.), so Grandma Sandy showed me how to make something similar, while also giving me an introduction to bias tape. Here’s what I learned:
Materials for Bib
fabric piece for the cover (approx 8″x8″)
terry cloth for backing (approx 8″x8″)
bias tape (approx 54″)
1. Cut out the desired shape from a piece of cover fabric (front) and a piece of terry cloth (back). This is an ideal project for scraps. The one in the photo is about 7.75 x 8 inches. You can download, print and trace this bib template, or just freehand one.
2. Pin the two pieces together, pretty sides out.
3. Starting from the top corner, sandwich the raw edges of the fabric between a first piece of bias-tape, from one side to the other, pinning as you go. Keep in mind that the longer side of the bias-tape goes on the back so that it will “catch” when you sew it down (see this great bias-tape tutorial and video). We’re using pre-made bias tape that is 1/2″ wide folded, but you can learn to make your own from this video .

A Craft For Mothers Day | Mothers Day Special

2:15 AM    1 comment

Mothers Day Special

I'm back guys and gals for all knew season for real this time. Baby Crafts will officially be being updated on a bi-weekly basis. I have decided to hit the ground running as it were and not only tell my loyal fans this but also deliver a spectacular mothers day craft. You see that awesome picture below yeah that's what your are going to be making.

This particular craft takes about two-four days maybe quicker depends on how heavy the object you use to flatten your flowers. Once that's done it's a cake walk actually you don't have to wait for the flowers you could start on other steps while they are getting properly pressed. All of the materials can be found at a dollar store, if you've ever crafted anything like this before you should have most of them.

I also want to mention that you can decorate the card anyway you want to especially the front cause it's kinda plain. I was going for the "simplistic elegance" look with this one. I did the same with my layout starting to regret it a bit though. But as I was saying the color doesn't have to be beige use any color you want. Well I'm starting to ramble I know you want to stop all this reading and craft so Happy crafts!

How To Make
-------------------------------------------------------------------

First things first place your lace flowers face up on the tissue paper.

Press down on the lace flowers they should sorta stick to the tissue paper then you can flip the paper and the flowers face down.

Better Yet: just place the flowers face-down on the newspaper. Then put tissue paper on top. I don't know what I was thinking cause that would've been so much easier when I was crafting  it XD.

Remember I was talking about the wait period well here it is. You'll need something heavy to sat upon your flowers to make them nice and flat. I used a book you can use a stack of books whatever works for you.

Fold you tracing paper in half.

Turn over, in the down position, draw a little square of 4.5cm from the center of the right angle.

As window frames, cut with the cutter.

Turn over the drawing paper, put a double-sided tape on the inside of the window frame.

Paste the tracing paper to peel off the release paper.

Put a lace paper on the right side of the heart.

Go gently with tweezers placed put the race on the flower Apply a thin layer of the bond of lace paper, and your pressed flower art.

Finish so that the shape of the heart.

Make a fine bow with a ribbon,

Pasted on top of the window frame of the card table, it is decorated with two complete masking tape the top and bottom!

So I take it your done. You want more stay tuned cause sometime next week I'm bringing another gorgeous craft with me. Just be ready have your tools lined up and ready for use I'll see you then.
